Limassol – The Tsielepis Tax Academy is now open for learning with a seminar on Personal Taxation on Friday, 27 September 2024 in Limassol.
Titled ‘Taxation for Individuals: To Dom or not to Dom’ the morning seminar represents the newly formed Academy’s inaugural event and will be delivered by the Academy’s Lead Instructor and Head of Taxation of Costas Tsielepis & Co, Nicolas Papapanayiotou.
The seminar will focus on how tax resident individuals are taxed, covering the basic principles of Personal Income Tax including tax residency conditions, Special Defence Contribution (Domicile) and National Health Contributions.
By the end of the seminar, participants will be able to:
- Gain knowledge on the latest personal tax considerations in Cyprus
- Evaluate whereas Cyprus may indeed comprise a relocation choice for interested parties
- Assess the impact of the available routes and incentives for relocation to Cyprus.
The seminar is targeted towards tax consultants, tax lawyers, auditors and accountants of all levels, individuals who wish to obtain a basic understanding of Cyprus personal taxation and owners of startups and/or small businesses who wish to raise an awareness or acquire a basic understanding of the Cyprus tax legislation.
Nicolas specializes in direct tax and is now widely considered as one the leading tax advisors on the island. His solid practical and teaching experience of Cyprus’ tax legislation and the application of double tax treaties position him uniquely to lead the Tsielepis Tax Academy.
Nicolas served as the principal lecturer of GlobalTraining, the professional training arm of the University of Nicosia, from 2016 until June 2024 in Limassol lecturing on the principles of Advanced Taxation to ACCA students.
He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC) and has authored numerous articles, reports and presentations on Cyprus tax law and on the implementation of EU Directives.
