ACADEMIC & PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Antonis graduated from the University of East Anglia, Norwich where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree (Upper Second-Class, Hons.) in Accounting.
He is a Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant (FCCA) and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC).
BACKGROUND
Antonis is a dedicated and accomplished professional. He has more than 20 years of experience in the fields of audit and tax, having dealt with publicly listed companies on the Cyprus Stock Exchange in the fields of shipping and tourism and with private companies in manufacturing and trading, construction and development, investments, hospitality, aviation and more. He has served as an Audit Manager and Senior Manager with a Big Four Auditing firm in Cyprus before being moving on as Senior Manager first and later as a Partner and Director with Costas Tsielepis & Co Ltd.
SKILLS
Over the years, Antonis has acquired in depth technical knowledge and experience, which he systematically and methodically applies to due diligence projects relating to mergers and acquisitions as well as budgeting/forecasting exercises to assist in meeting clients’ bank requirements or securing a government grant. Antonis delivers highly professional, technically impeccable and consistently dependable audit and assurance services every single time.
He deals extensively with the final reviewing of audit files with the aim of ensuring that audits are always performed to the highest quality standards and international practices. He also manages and coaches on a continuous and personal basis audit team members to assist them with effectively addressing critical audit areas and key risks. He also frequently acts as Senior Manager on Group Audit engagements.
He also carries out in-house training seminars to audit staff on how to conduct efficient and effective audits in compliance with International Auditing Standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Antonis is responsible for the preparation of Consolidated Financial Statements and Annual and Interim Reports for reputable and well-known Listed entities, required for filing with the Cyprus Stock Exchange.
He is also responsible for the preparation and review of consolidated financial statements for large groups of companies engaged in the shipping and other industries as well as the review of stand-alone financial statements, including the determination of taxes.
Moreover, in addition to guiding and supervising his audit team, Antonis is also heavily involved in developing and maintaining strong and enduring business relationships with his clients.
