Limassol – Leading Cypriot VAT expert, Alexis Tsielepis, has authored the Cyprus chapter of the European VAT Handbook 2017-2018 for the second year in a row.
The handbook is one of Europe’s most credible and comprehensive guides on Value Added Tax (VAT) and provides a detailed insight to VAT in 30 European countries, including Norway and Switzerland. The respective country information was provided by renowned VAT advisors from all over Europe, many of whom, including Tsielepis, are Partners with the prestigious VAT Forum organisation, an international partnership of select indirect tax specialists.
Tsielepis, Managing Director of indirect tax specialists Chelco VAT Ltd, said it was a privilege to contribute the Cyprus chapter to the Handbook.

The book is based on information available up to 1 April 2017.
Tsielepis is widely acknowledged as Cyprus’ foremost VAT expert. He is a holder of the coveted Expert in European VAT Degree and sits on various committees charged with tax matters, including the VAT Committee of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus. He lectures extensively in Cyprus and Europe on VAT for private and public companies, professionals and institutions as well as government agencies and departments.
He has written a number of tax syllabuses, articles and a book on matters pertaining to Cyprus and EU VAT.
